Milwood
Milwood is bordered with roads that allow for access to Downtown Austin and many employers in North Austin: IBM, the J.J. Pickle Research Laboratory, Google, Oracle, St David’s North Austin Medical Center, National Instruments and many more. The neighborhood is conveniently located near loads of all kinds of shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. Milwood has a number of parks, including the large Balcones District Park which offers a pool, nature trails and tennis and basketball courts. Yett Creek Neighborhood Park is 40 acres with a walking trail and Rattan Creek Park has sports courts, covered pavilions and a swimming a pool. There are wonderful walking trails in and around Milwood.
Residents can join the Milwood Neighborhood Association for a small annual dues donation, view their Facebook page here. The association holds events throughout the year, a neighborhood garage sale, a park cleanup, and a 4th of July celebration.
